My Story

I ride for two friends—one who we lost to cancer at just 8 years old, and one who fought hard and won. Their stories are why this cause matters so much to me.

The truth is, cancer is the #1 killer of children by disease in the U.S. Every year 15,700 kids are diagnosed, and 38 children die every week. That’s 38 families forever changed—and it’s 38 too many.

I’m riding in the Great Cycle Challenge to raise funds for the Children’s Cancer Research Fund—fueling research, better treatments, and hope for a cure.

    Yesterday was my 57th birthday 🎉 and apparently, my idea of celebrating is hopping on a bike for a “light” 25.34-mile ride. (Nothing says “party” like quads on fire, right?) 🚴‍♂️

    I’ve hit my mileage goal, but since the donation deadline is extended through Oct 31, I’m still riding for the kids. 💛 Please donate if you can. Thank you!

    🚴‍♂️ Update time! (Yes, I’m behind, so you’re getting a 2-for-1 special today. No refunds. 😆)

    Between Sunday’s ride and today’s spin, I’ve pedaled my way up to 342.07 total miles in the Great Cycle Challenge! That’s a lot of saddle time, a lot of snacks, and way too much wind in my face on the ride back home. 🌬️

    Even though the official cycling portion wrapped up September 30th, I’ll keep riding through October (as long as Mother Nature doesn’t throw me into a headwind tornado). The best part? The donation deadline has been extended to October 31st! 🎉 So there’s still time to support the Children’s Cancer Research Fund and help kids fight cancer. 💛
