I’m so glad to have a big forest preserve next to my neighborhood across Big Timber road. It’s great for these challenge months to see all the Fall colors. I could smell smoke from a neighbor burning a leaf pile in the distance. Wow it’s so dry! We need some rain around here!
Today’s ride was windy! So much harder climbing hills against the strong breezes. But it did make the downhills feel so great on the way back. Extra fun dodging the garage trucks everywhere. Usually Gilberts’ Day is Thursday, but of course it being Labor Day week… I feel grateful for those guys trying to keep things from blowing out of the truck and down the street!
I got busy yesterday Labor Day, so did a double ride to keep on track with my goal. It’s a beautiful blue-sky day, sunny and 76. Just a few red and yellow leaves, some acorns to crunch on the path too.
