I missed a couple days of posting.
I'm trying to concentrate on trail miles which are more difficult to achieve. I think I am well on track to achieve 200+ miles.
Currently I have 125 miles ridden & 67 of them are trail, so just over half are trail miles.
I've achieved my donation goal & then some, but have not yet matched last year's donation..... Half the month to go yet!
75 miles to extra credit!
I am now currently sitting at 101 miles total and 44 miles of trail riding achieved. The Trail miles are not as high as I would like them. I was hoping yesterday's trail ride would be all gravel/dirt. However it appears many of the towns along this trail have paved them , so the miles count, just not as the dirt/gravel that I was expecting.
99 miles till extra credit
It was a weekend for taking care of a family member who just had knee surgery, so not many miles, but was able to sneak out on Saturday and rode 8 miles of singletrack.
This brings my total up to 52 miles overall and I think 19 miles of trail
Getting closer to extra credit miles!
Yesterday I was able to put down another 11 miles, 6 of which were trail miles on my Full suspension bike.
Tally is a total of 44 miles - 10 of which are trail/gravel per my goal to not ride all easier paved miles.
156 miles till I start extra credit miles....
The Cycle Challenge started a couple days ago. I'm pretty pumped up to kick out as many miles & as many donations as I can this year. Goal is 200 miles & $500.
This is day 3. So far 33 miles & $296.
My personal challenge this year is to put as many miles as I can on singletrack trails & gravel. I figure kids with cancer do not get to take easy paths, so I'm not going to either.
Currently 33 miles total. 28 miles bike path, 5 mile singletrack.
Let's see how it all shakes out.
