I'm Riding For
Laura Edwards
I lost my mom 30 years ago to lung cancer. I also lost other family members to several forms of this insidious killer. I have cancer too, but I'm not riding for me. This picture was taken when she was 18. She died at 60. Waaaay too young!
My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.

Training while healing pedal
15 Sep 2025“I’ve been been better”, it’s been said by many. Myself not the least.
I’m recovering from a recent bike crash and that is the last thing I want to encounter.
To that end, in order to keep my part of the bargain, I’m including the time I spin on the “stable-like-an-eleven-speed-tricycle” divided by the average speed of my city style 21 speed bike when I spend ½ hour pedaling steadily.
It’s good for my health, too!!
It’s also good math. 😄
Thank you again for your support.
